The great secret of Adsense revenue share with Google and publishers is finally out and the company took this step for greater transparency in their operations.
adsense revenue
The percentage of revenue which Google shares with their Adsense publishers has always been an issue of discussion in the bloggers community and bloggers like Amit Agarwal from labnol.org always published a guess about sharing based on the quarterly revenue published by Google.

But now Google has officially announced the revenue share for their Adsense products Adsense for content and Adsense e for search, however they have not disclosed the revenue share of their Adsense for mobile applications, Adsense for feeds, and Adsense for games, the reason cited was that these products are still evolving and the company is studying about the operating and supporting costs associated with them.

The revenue share is:

  • Adsense for Content – 68% Revenue Share and its world wide
  • Adsense for Search – 51% Revenue Share

The revenue which Google keeps goes into their operating cost and research for making their products better.

In coming few months the company is also planning to start showing the revenue share right in the Adsense interface.

So now there must be no wild guess and confusion about the Adsense revenue share.

What do you think, is this percentage share is justifiable or the company must offer greater share to their publisher.
